Stroke Clinic is a great way to learn more about all four competitive strokes. This is highly encouraged for anyone who wants to join our team.

New Swimmers: 5:00 - 5:45 PM, Bickner Lap Pool
Returning DCST Swimmers: 6:00 - 7:00 PM

Rookie Week
Rookie Week is a chance for new swimmers to experience DCST practices, meet the coaches, and see what being part of the team is like before committing to a full season. The week concludes with a mock swim meet on Friday evening.

Founded in 1980, the DeKalb County Swim Team (DCST) is a year-round competitive swim team based at the Kishwaukee Family YMCA in DeKalb, Illinois. With over 125 swimmers ages 5–21, DCST focuses on building skills, encouraging personal growth, and developing a love for swimming in a fun and supportive environment.
We offer structured training across 11 practice groups and operate in two main seasons—winter and summer. Whether your swimmer is just starting out or preparing for college competition, DCST is here to guide every stroke of their journey.
