The DeKalb County Swim Team places the safety and well-being of our athletes, coaches, and volunteers as our top priority. With everyone's support and awareness, we can continue to foster a positive, respectful, and secure environment where our swimmers can thrive and enjoy the sport we all love. DCST is proud to commit to achieving USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognition - and we need your help to get there! Together, we can make safety a shared responsibility and a cornerstone of our team culture.

SAFESPORT TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

All adult non-athlete USA members and USA athlete members over the age of 17 are required to complete Athlete Protection Training (APT) annually (within 365 days of the date of their last APT).

Check out the Safe Sport trainings within your USA parent/athlete account on usaswimming.org or join one of the group Zoom trainings listed below. The DeKalb County Swim Team is aiming to be a Safe Sport Club Recognition Program participant, and as part of this program, parents and athletes complete this training.

For Parents:

Tues., Mar 17 at 8:00 p.m. EST | REGISTER

For Athletes:

Thur., Mar 19 at 8:00 p.m. EST | REGISTER

Members can also participate in training online at their own pace through the Education tab on their USA Swimming account. To learn more, including easy-to-follow steps, visit USA Swimming's Safe Sport training page here.

Coaches Training:

Individual trainings can be taken in the USA Swimming University.

Unable to Attend Educational Opportunities Live?

If the timing doesn't work, that's ok! Login to USA Swimming University to start and complete courses at your own pace.

Parents login to their USA SWIMS account. If both parents want to complete it, each parent needs their own USA account (free parent account) to get credit.

Athletes who are between 8-17 years old can have their own login to USA SWIMS with parent permission. This is granted on the parent's account dashboard.

Please be sure athletes login to their specific account to get credit.
