DCST Winter
Classic
We are hosting a 3-day United States Swimming (USS) sanctioned meet
on Friday, February 12th – Sunday, February
14th. All swimmers are encouraged to
enter this meet.Note – One rule
difference with this meet compared to the other meets DCST swims is
the swimmer age up date. For this meet only, a
swimmers age will be determined by their age as of February
12th.In order to attend this meet, you must register
for the meet on-line by Friday, January
22nd. Swimmers can enter as many
as four individual events per day; therefore, swimmers can enter as
many as 11 individual events for the weekend.
There is an entry fee of $3.00 per individual event entry and $1.75
per relay entry. After the relays are
determined, swimmers will be billed.
As a team, this meet is the most important for DCST in qualifying
swimmers for District. We will have more
swimmers qualify for District and achieve more Career Best Times at
this meet, then at any other meet. Since there
are no limitations on the number of swimmers we can enter an event,
and the meet is over 3-days, swimmers can enter all the events
offered for their age group at Districts in one
weekend. This meet also offers some longer and
different events giving swimmers a chance to try something
new. There will be no practice on Friday,
February 12th through Monday, February 15th
due to this meet.
